Why Fashion Month
Still Matters
"I hope that creative directors really take risks to new levels," says Alexie of the upcoming season. With everything gone virtual, she applauds the nature of brands becoming less exclusive and more of a mass experience everyone can partake in. Alongside all this innovation though, Alexie's also holding the industry accountable for recalibrating a new wave of thought: "It's hard to think about fashion with all that’s going on in the world, so if we’re going to pay attention, let’s make sure we’re inspiring a new wave of thought. This creative [collaborative] space of fashion and expression speaks to something deeper and more impactful."
